Lot's of announcements this Monday. |
First up...tomorrow there will be a French Internship Info Session sponsored by the Humanities Department. Here's what they have to say about it, "Learn about the internship opportunities with polictical, educational, commerical, and service organizations throughout France for next summer and the following school year."
This is going to be a pretty awesome session, so if you have ever wanted to go to France this is something to attend.
Here's the info: Tuesday Oct. 25th @ 2 PM in 257 HRCB
(UPDATE) SAIC (Science Applications International Corporation) will be visiting campus tomorrow. They are a large government contractor, and they will be having a student information meeting tomorrow. Here's the info for the meeting: Tuesday the 25th in B-152 JFSB @ 3-4 PM.
(UPDATE) Phil Egger, the new DIR (Diplomat in Residence) of the State Department, will be giving a presentation this Thursday at 11 AM in B106 JFSB. Here is a link to his facebook page if you would like more info on him.
Secondly, tomorrow is also Le Club's big Halloween Bash! If you want more info you can check out our post here, or go straight to Le Club's Facebook page here. Here's some quick info for you: Tuesday 25 October @ 7 PM in 3228 WSC
Next up we have Le Club's French Idol coming soon! Auditions are this week, so if you would like to perform sign up here. There are rumors floating around that Professor Hudson and Professor Cropper will be performing a rousing duet from Moulin Rouge (I'm stoked for that). The auditions will be held 26-27th October and 1st November from 7 - 8:30 PM in B135 JFSB. Click here to sign up. The actual event will be held Thursday 10 November in the Varsity Theater.
Registration starts today, and if you need help finding classes here is a great link to help you out. I've always hated trying to click through the registration window to plan out my classes, so for me this little tool is a life-saver. Good luck signing up!
The last thing to announce today is that the French Department is becoming more and more socially connected. To help the department keep more connected to the French student population, we have created a Google+ page! It's pretty exciting, and we definitely hope this will help us connect to those student's who are social media powerhouses. At this point Google+ doesn't support group pages, so if you're looking for the department search for LeDept Francais. We are also on Blogger, Twitter, and Facebook!
I think that is about it for today, so I wish you all good luck with registration! And enjoy your last week of October!
