French + Business = Le Business

Take French Business winter
semester to expand you horizons.
Before I ever really started thinking about France, I had the whole notion that French people were lazy wine drinkers.  Then once I got to know France a bit better, I found out that they are actually pretty stinking strong economically in the world.  From Airbus to Renault, Accor  to Michelin, France is everywhere.

Because you are reading this post, you probably are studying French.  Because of that you might one day work with a company that is French, or deals with the French.  To help prepare you for that maybe one future day, the French Department would like to introduce you to BusM 596R, also known as French Business.

This class is awesome (I'm in it right now).  It is currently being team-taught by Professors LeBras and Cropper (a classic Jeeves and Wooster duo), and they do a tremendous job teaching.  So far we've gone over French corporations, how to prepare your CV for Europe, how to pass a job interview in France, and how to successfully navigate the CAC 40.

Besides being mentally stimulating it counts toward requirements for your French major or French minor.  It is also a class that supports the Humanities Department's 'Humanities+', showing that humanities can be used successfully in the real world.  So if you have time this upcoming semester on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 PM - 6:15 PM, this is the class to take.

Has anyone else taken this class?  Sound off in the comments!
