The French Studies Designer Button Series

To celebrate the continued success of the French Studies major, starting this week the department will be releasing a series of designer buttons featuring French historical icons.
There will be four buttons in the series, each in a different color and featuring a different French icon. Best of all, they are all free!
This weeks button features Napoleon Bonaparte.
You can pick up your button at the department front desk (3134 JFSB) beginning Wednesday afternoon and lasting until they run out.
There are only a limited amount of each button so make sure you get yours and show some pride in your French Studies heritage before they're gone.

FS Logo Tee Colors
After some research into this year's hot spring colors, we've decided on the colors for the new French Studies Tees. There will be four different color combinations (as seen below): two for guys and two for girls. And here is something else that all the FS students of the female gender will appreciate: the girls tees are actually printed on girls tees, not just the regular unisex tees you've seen in the past. We've opted for a more fitted tee in the hopes that everyone will not only enjoy wearing their FS Tee to spread the word, but because they look so darn good in them too!
Here's a look at the color choices that will be available (hopefully sometime next week):

Vendredi Vidéo
- We thought it might be fun to kick this holiday weekend off with an entertaining French music video. We'd love to have Vendredi Vidéo every weekend, and we'd like your help.
- If you've come across and great videos during your web surfing adventures, let us know and we'll pick one every Friday to show off. Send your ideas to byufrenchstudies@gmail.com, and make sure they have something to do with French Studies whether it be language, subject matter, etc.
So here then, is this weeks pick from Professor Olivier. It's a "great" French music video for a song which some of you might have heard: Nuit de Folie. Now just sit back, relax, and enjoy what might have been the most brightly colored costuming of the 1980's! The choreography isn't bad either...
Remember to send your Vendredi Vidéo or Mercredi Musique ideas to byufrenchstudies@gmail.com
