Stephen W. Gibson will be holding a series of lectures until Dec 8th. |
Stephen W. Gibson will be holding a series of lectures every Thursday at 3:30 PM in 120 TNRB until December 8th. Let me write this out so you can see it a little more clearly:
Who: Mr. Stephen W. Gibson
What: Lecture series on teaching microentreprise development to developing nations
When: Every Thursday at 3:30 PM until December 8th
Where: 120 TNRB
Now for a little on Mr. Gibson:
Stephen W. Gibson graduated in 1966 from BYU with a BSc in Communications. From there he went on to found dozens of successful entrepreneurial businesses, including one that was listed in the top 500 fastest growing businesses by INC. magazine. The angel investment firm he started has invested over $20 million into Utah start-ups. He is also heavily involved with microentreprises in developing countries. With his wife they have started three schools, one in the Philippines, one in Brazil, and one in Mexico, that have helped over 1,500 people learn microentreprise development.
Besides being a pretty awesome business man, Mr. Gibson also enjoys an ice cold Dr. Pepper as he watches 'Dead Poet's Society'. In his spare time he and his wife enjoy visiting their four children and 13 grandchildren spread out around the US. And on a lazy day you might find him headed off on the high seas towards Alaska, New Zealand, or Norway. I must say he is a very well rounded man.
So be sure to check out his lecture series over the next month, I'm sure they will be quite the experience.
In the mean time be sure to check out his bio on the Marriott School website here, or an article he wrote here, or another little interview done by the Mormon Entrepreneur here.
