Translation Service Opportunity

Brynn Embley has recently informed us of the following service opportunity:

As of September 2009, students from the Marriott School of Management are teaming up with Virgance, a social entrepreneurial company, to encourage businesses to become more environmentally friendly. An event will be hosted in which one business (likely a restaurant) will be ‘mobbed’ by local students, families, and other individuals to generate a higher than expected revenue, a percentage of which will then be used to purchase eco-friendly products and equipment. This new method of consumer activism is known as a “Carrotmob.”
The Carrotmob has enjoyed success in the United States as well as around the globe. To facilitate this effort, Virgance has requested a translation team composed of BYU students to translate some small informational documents.

French Link of the Week

The link for this week is one I use constantly. It is the best online French dictionary that I have found. It gives you definitions, conjugations, examples and even translates words from French to English and vice-versa. It even has a "mot du jour" so that you can learn some interesting new vocabulary.



But one of the best things about this dictionary is that it has a toolbar that you can download and install in your web browser (kinda like the Google search bar) so that you can quickly search words without having to load the web page up every time. Check it out at the link below:
