Alyssa Smith
Alyssa’s father was in the air force and she grew up a
little bit all over. She was exposed to a number of languages and already
speaks Spanish. However, while living in Ramstein, Germany, 20 minutes from the
French border she fell in love with the French language. While at French Idol a
few years ago, she talked with Bethany Daniels, a French instructor, and decided
to take a French class. She is studying Nursing and getting a French minor. She
hopes to be an international nurse someday…maybe in France, Tahiti, or
Madagascar?
Douglas Destro
Douglas is from Brazil. French is his 3rd
language. He grew up speaking Portuguese, learned English, is learning French,
and would like to learn Italian and German. He is currently taking French 201
and is a Mechanical Engineering student hoping to work in aerospace
engineering. Since the most of the biggest aerospace companies are American,
French, and Brazilian, it is only fitting for Douglas to be studying French as
well.
